I am blessed to live in Canada, where I'm able to be legally married to my partner, and to be treated as any other straight person is treated.
Except if you want to adopt a child.

Agreed. Adoption for gay couples, even where your "allowed" can be even more vigorous hoops to jump through. That is our Plan C. A) I get pregnant through IUI B) My wife gets pregnant through IUI C) Start the adoption process.
